A homeowner in Atlantic Highlands, NJ had an attic that was poorly insulated. When speaking to the owner they were having issues with the AC unit constantly running. We hear this from homeowner’s a lot; they will state the AC has difficulty maintaining the proper temperatures. So the AC unit will not shut off making the owner pay more for their energy bills. After inspecting the attic we found it was not air sealed and the fiberglass insulation was exposed. Once we air sealed the attic with our orange ZypFoam sealant, we then create retaining walls to help retain the cellulose insulation. Finally, we blow-in our TruSoft cellulose insulation. By properly air sealing and insulating the attic we eliminated the over use of their AC unit. This homeowner now has a more comfortable and energy efficient home.
During our attic inspection in Little Silver, NJ, we found that the pull-down stairs had an older-style design incompatible with our standard David Lewis Hatch Cover. To address this, we'll install a 2-inch rigid foam insulation board on the hatch door. This modification will prevent conditioned air from leaking into the attic when the hatch door is closed.
Properly insulating the attic hatch is essential to avoid higher energy costs and discomfort for the homeowner. Our goal is to minimize unnecessary energy expenses and improve overall home comfort by insulating these areas effectively.
In Red Bank, NJ, a homeowner dealt with chilly floors and an under-insulated crawl space. To address this, we applied foam to the rim joists to seal the cold drafts and maintain floor warmth. Insulation panels (SilverGlo) were installed to the crawl space walls to create a thermal barrier. Lastly, a CleanSpace Encapsulation liner was added to the floor. These upgrades resulted in a snug and energy-efficient crawl space, providing the homeowner with a cozier home environment.
A homeowner in Ocean Township, NJ had an attic that was poorly air sealed and insulated. Our expert’s air sealed the attic with our orange ZypFoam sealant. Next we create barrier walls along the attic floor to help contain the cellulose insulation. Once the barrier walls are built, we then blow-in our TruSoft cellulose insulation. By air sealing and insulating the attic properly we help maintain a thermal barrier in the attic. This homeowner now has a more comfortable and energy efficient home.
This homeowner’s Cape Cod style house in Oceanport, NJ suffered from inadequate insulation and air leakage on the second floor. The owner’s conditioned room had cold drafts in the winter and a hot stuffy room in the summer. After properly insulating both kneewalls our team can now focus on the devils triangle. First things first, we air sealed the devils triangles floor or conditioned rooms ceiling in the attic with orange ZypFoam. Next the roof slopes are dense packed with TruSoft cellulose insulation to stop air flow and insulate. Finally, the flat ceiling (the devils triangles floor) is insulated with TruSoft cellulose insulation to an R-value of R-60. We properly insulated the devils triangle and the owner now has a house that is more comfortable and energy efficient.
