"We moved into our house a little over 2 years ago. We loved the cathedral ceiling but a previous owner either removed an attic space or ceiling insulation to achieve the exposed beam look. While it looked cool, it was anything but when the summer rolled around. Heading into our 3rd summer here, we knew we shouldn’t continue this way. When temps would go above 80°, our AC would run practically all day, and if it was above 90° outside - forget it, the air couldn’t even come close and it would be 80° inside. Our situation was a bit different than the norm and we needed insulation directly on the roof deck.
