Crawl Space Wall
The foundational walls in this crawl space are not insulated.
Crawl Space Porous Wall
The foundational walls are porous and outside air or moisture will leak into the crawl space.
Crawl Space Vent
Any vent in the crawl space should be closed off and insulated. Outside air leaking into a crawl space can cause humidity, dry rot, cold floors, drafts and many other hidden issues.
Basement Leaky Duct
The metal duct in the basement were leaking. We used mastic sealant to properly seal the leaks to code.
Rim Joists
The basement rim joists were not air sealed. We spray foamed the rim joists to help prevent outside air from leaking into the house.
Exposed Rim Joists
The exposed rim joists in the basement were properly spray foamed.
Spray Foamed Rim Joists
By spray foaming the rim joists we are able to help prevent air from leaking into the house.
Crawl Space Insulation
We insulate the porous walls of the crawl space by installing SilverGlo insulation boards onto the foundational walls. We also use orange ZypFoam sealant to seal the seams of the SilverGlo.
Crawl Space CleanSpace Encapsulation Liner
We permanently install a 20 mil thick CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation liner across the dirt floor, sealed with mechanical fasteners to the walls and spiked to the floor. Also notice the rim joists are also spray foamed just like the basement.
