Insulation Services Photo Album: Crawlspace Encapsulation in Beachwood, NJ
This happy customer from Beachwood had called Dr. Energy Saver because when her mother was visiting, she noticed that the floors on the first floor were freezing! She knew it wasn't ideal for her daughter and Grandkid's to be dealing with extreme temperatures like that so they called Dr. Energy Saver. After quickly diagnosing the probelm, Dr. Energy proposed insulating the open dirt crawlspace below the home. To insulate the crawlspace, Dr. Energy used our patented CleanSpace crawlspace liner which is impermeable to water along with a dimple drainage mat under the liner to protect it from any sharp objects and acts as a thermal break between the floor and the liner, and it also has channels for water to move freely under. 2" polyisocyanurate foam board shielded the hatch cover, exterior walls, and the bays inside the rim joist of the houses framing, along with 2 part expanding spray foam that seals all cracks in the framing and seals the foam board so no air will leak through. This crawlspace treatment separates the harmful outside air and moisture from your crawlspace, from the conditioned and fresh air from your home. This provided the customer's family with the warm floors they desired and a better air quality inside her home as an added result.
