Kneewall Insulation in Brick, NJ

This attic kneewall was allowing large amounts of air to pour into the home from this garage attic. The thin yellow fiberglass hanging from the wall is not air sealing the inside of the home or providing an effective insulation barrier. Sheathing the wall with 2" polyisocyanurate reflective foam board will both air seal and create a proper insulation barrier between the garage and the house by covering the fiberglass on the wall, allowing the fiberglass to now function like the manufacturer intended.
