Enhancing Insulation for a Small Attic in Hazlet, NJ

In Hazlet, NJ, a homeowner faced issues with their poorly insulated attic and inadequate air sealing. Our team took action by removing the original fiberglass insulation and implementing ZypFoam sealant to properly air seal any gaps, including around the attic's top plates and drill holes prone to air leakage. To enhance insulation, we constructed retaining walls to contain blown-in TruSoft cellulose insulation. Additionally, we dense packed TruSoft insulation underneath the small catwalk for optimal insulation. With TruSoft insulation reaching the recommended R-value of R-60, the attic is now effectively insulated, resulting in a more comfortable and energy-efficient home.
