Without proper insulation, this attic can reach extreme temperatures—30°F in winter and 125°F in summer—making it unsuitable for storing items without risking damage from constant temperature fluctuations. In Belmar, NJ, this uninsulated attic was also causing the rest of the home to heat up in summer, as radiant heat from the roof warmed the space.
