What is R-Value?

What is R-value? 🤔 R-value measures how resistant insulation is to hot or cold air passing through it. The "R" stands for resistance. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation works.

At Dave Hoh's Home Comfort and Energy Experts, part of the Dr. Energy Saver network, we follow US Department of Energy guidelines for zones 4 and 5 in New Jersey. The DOE recommends insulating to an R-60 value. Adhering to these high standards, we provide R-60 cellulose insulation (about 17 inches) to ensure optimal comfort, energy savings, and improved indoor air quality.

With BPI certification, an A+ BBB rating, and participation in the NJ Clean Energy Program, we are dedicated to truly resolving homeowners' issues. Our commitment to high standards means no quick fixes—only lasting solutions. Contact us today for a free Home Energy Audit and a customized quote for your long-term needs.
