In Ocean Grove, NJ, a homeowner’s attic was freezing in winter and scorching in summer. Without proper insulation, ventilation, and air sealing, conditioned air escaped, causing discomfort and temperature swings throughout the home. The extreme conditions also made the attic unsuitable for storage or potential living space.
Solution
We customized a SuperAttic solution to transform the attic into a conditioned space. By installing foam boards and sealing gaps along the roof deck, we moved the insulation envelope to the underside of the roof. This improved ventilation, stabilized temperatures, enhanced storage potential, and made the attic comfortable year-round.
