Crawl Space CleanSpace Encapsulation Liner in Toms River, NJ

Challenge

This homeowner in Toms River, NJ, needed some help with their crawl space. The customer wanted us to help make sure their crawl space was properly clean and functional with a minimalistic cost. Our customer who is 88 years old living in the Holiday City-Berkeley retirement community wanted their house to be more comfortable in the winter. The customer an 88 year old Veteran shouldn’t be crawling around the crawl space. The homeowner contacted us; we did our free estimate and inspected the crawl space for the owner. We found old fiberglass insulation and a ripped plastic liner on the dirt floor.

Solution

One of our solutions for the crawl space was to spray foam the rim joists. By spray foaming the rim joists we have eliminated any outside air from leaking into the crawl space. Next we installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation liner over the walls or foundational walls and over the dirt floor. By fastening the CleanSpace liner to the walls and spiked to the dirt floor our customer now has a completed crawl space.

The customer now has a thermal boundary in the crawl space that’s eliminating any outside air from leaking into the crawl space. The homeowner now enjoys a much more comfortable home with warmer floors and is paying less to heat their home.

Looking at this image we can see how the CleanSpace liner is protecting your house from any of the outside elements by keeping the thermal barrier in the crawl space intact. In the left corner we can see the spray foamed rim joists and how the liner is secured along the tops of the walls to the floor all connecting and sealed by the seams.
