Improving Comfort and Energy Efficiency with Attic Insulation in Toms River, NJ
This homeowner in Toms River, NJ, had inadequate insulation, uninsulated, leaky ducts, and an unsealed attic, resulting in discomfort and higher energy bills. To address these issues, we encapsulated the ducts with SilverGlo foam boards and air-sealed the attic. With the attic and ducts properly sealed, we draft-blocked part of the decking to create storage for the homeowner while sealing the rest. Finally, we blew in TruSoft cellulose insulation to achieve the optimal R-60 value, making their home more comfortable, energy-efficient, and healthier.
